Separate article[edit]

Should this be merged with Tap-Tap? It's a conjecturally-named article for an alternate coloration's different behavior, and is visually quite similar to the orange/pink Tap-Taps that appear as an alternate coloration in most games Tap-Taps are in. Well, it should be merged only if the Japanese name is the same. Unfortunately, LinkTheLefty doesn't own a manual for the game, so we shouldn't merge yet. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 13:28, 6 October 2018 (EDT)
If we don't know the Japanese name at all, we shouldn't assume it's different. If it even has a specific Japanese name. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 14:50, 6 October 2018 (EDT)
And, do they flash between gray with red nose, purple feet, and orange with a green nose and blue feet? Or are they only orange with a green nose and blue feet? If so, it should be merged. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 10:42, 19 October 2018 (EDT)
It appears that the keep the orange coloring, as seen here. As the creator of the article, I do feel that, if there is no Japanese name, it would make sense to merge this article. It definitely resembles similarly-colored Tap-Taps, and the name is conjectural (to be honest, I never really felt "rainbow" was the best description for them). --A sprite of a Flame Chomp from New Super Mario Bros. Then it wouldn't have a Japanese name, if it doesn't flash. Can i merge? --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 12:11, 19 October 2018 (EDT)
Well, since it doesn't flash, it's intended to be just a Tap-Tap. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 05:23, 20 October 2018 (EDT)
And since it doesn't flash, you're right Doc von Schmeltwick. It's a conjecturally named article for an actual Tap-Tap. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 05:23, 22 October 2018 (EDT)
You don't need to respond to yourself several times in a row to say what amounts to the same thing as you already did. :\ Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 06:31, 22 October 2018 (EDT)
Lol. It's just that no one answered. I am patient though. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 06:36, 22 October 2018 (EDT)
To confirm, the Shogakukan guide indeed refers to these as simply 「カチカチくん」 on page 147. 22:47, May 8, 2021 (EDT)
