Talk:Mario Stadium (stage)

Shouldn't this be merged with Mario Stadium (baseball stadium)? It's the same thing, just different gameplay-wise. Zakor1138 01:25, 29 May 2012 (EDT)

I can't recall what our current policy is regarding same stage in different games, but judging by Bowser's Castle (disambiguation), every series has it's own separate page for its course/stage. So merging this with the baseball series page would be inconsistent.--Knife (talk) 12:39, 29 May 2012 (EDT)

But the Mario Circuit page shows the Itadaki Street DS version alongside the Mario Kart versions. (it is based on some of those games) Like I said, it's the same thing, it even says that it's based on the baseball game. (Its appearance is virtually identical.) Zakor1138 23:58, 29 May 2012 (EDT)

I don't disagree with you, however it still remains inconsistent in places such as Bowser's Castle and Mushroom Kingdom. I'd recommend you create a proposal in order to establish a consistent policy regarding stage articles with identical appearances. I know we've had many in the past, but I believe the last one was in favor of splitting all stages from different series, regardless of appearance.--Knife (talk) 11:17, 31 May 2012 (EDT)

Merge with Mario Stadium (Baseball Stadium)[edit]

merge 4-0
This doesn't need to be it's own article. Every other board in Itadaki Street and Fortune Street is merged with their overall location and this one is even a stub.

Support[edit]

  1. Tails777 (talk) Per me and some of the comments above.
  2. Randombob-omb4761 (talk) Per Proposal.
  3. Time Turner (talk) While there is precedent for not merging a location with another simply due to sharing the same name (Dry Dry Desert (course)), the stage in Itadaki Street and the stadium in Mario Baseball are clearly meant to be the same location.
  4. Icemario11 (talk) Per proposal and Time Turner.
