Split the Red Winged ? Block[edit]
This is something I've wondered about for some time. Why are the Red Winged ? Blocks from New Super Mario Bros. merged to this page?
It is, within the game itself, not quite the same subject as its normal counterparts. It has a different name, different behavior, a slightly(?) different appearance beyond just the color, and I could not find any previous discussions about why it was condensed to a brief footnote on this page. (Although perhaps I have simply not scrolled back far enough to find anything.) The point is, it's more than just a mere color-variant.
There's also a bit more which could be documented about it than what this page does currently. Things such like:
- How many levels need to be cleared in order for a block to appear.
- Where the block spawns in a given course. (It is not the same in every course, and sometimes, its movement pattern differs depending on the stage it appears in.)
- Probability on which item is most likely to be spawned when striking the block.
- Areas of the World Map the block will refuse to travel across. Etc...
Should the Red Winged ? Block be split from this page, or does anyone feel that it should remain merged (for some reason)? Wandering Poplin (talk) 21:27, October 10, 2026 (UTC)
- It definitely should. In fact, I remembered I have an unfinished draft. It lacks a lot of information so I left it there.
