- The theme music when fighting them is usually the same as when fighting Major Burrows, except on Deep Dark Galaxy where he instead uses Baron Brrr's theme music.
- The Undergrunt Gunners appearances and attack patterns are similar to the Monty Moles from Super Mario Sunshine.
- Notably the cannons they use are similar to FLUDD's nozzle.
