Sorting World is a location in Mario's Early Years! Fun with Numbers. It is one of the seven islands in the game and is represented by three watermelon slices and three cookies.

In this world, the player has to select the shape indicated, with specifications in regards to size and color. The first level involves selecting simply the requested shape to fill a picnic basket. The following levels add on specifications. The second level asks for just the size; the third level asks for just the color; the fourth level asks for color and shape; the fifth level asks for size and shape, and the last level asks for all three specifications. After the player selects the correct answer, a character pops up to encourage them, then after all the correct answers are stated, they move on to the next room via a pipe.

All six areas take place in the same forest area with varying trees as the set pieces. Once done, the player exits through a blue pipe in the last room.
