"Radio Compact Disco" is a series of seven intermissions included on Super Mario Compact Disco (1993). Consisting of "Radio Compact Disco 1", "Radio Compact Disco 2", "Radio Compact Disco 3", "Radio Compact Disco 4", "Radio Compact Disco 5", "Radio Compact Disco 6", and "Radio Compact Disco 7", they follow M.C. Mario (voiced by Colin Case) hosting a radio station, Radio Compact Disco.

The seven "Radio Compact Disco" tracks are included in Super Mario Compact Disco: The iOS Release, but were discluded from the cassette version and 35th Anniversary Edition.

Composition

The seven "Radio Compact Disco" tracks depart from the hip-hop and house in most of Super Mario Compact Disco. Instead, they parody radio drama with spoken-word vocals by M.C. Mario (voiced by Colin Case). The tracks are mostly unmusical, acting more as intermissions between songs. However, they feature funk backing tracks with drum machines, DJ scratches, as well as samples from Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World in the case of "Radio Compact Disco 1" "Radio Compact Disco 3" and "Radio Compact Disco 7".

"Radio Compact Disco 1" introduces Radio Compact Disco and its host, M.C. Mario. "Radio Compact Disco 2" is both an outro to "Supermarioland" and an intro to "Go, Mario, Go!". "Radio Compact Disco 3" features Yoshi as a special guest on Radio Compact Disco, leading into the song "Mario & Yoshi". "Radio Compact Disco 4" is both an outro to "Super Mario World" and an introduction to Princess Daisy before her song, "Save Me (With Your Charm) - Princess Theme". The following "Radio Compact Disco 5" is the shortest track on the album, with Mario just calling Daisy "his number-one girl." "Radio Compact Disco 6" introduces Wario, leading to the next song, "Six Golden Coins". "Radio Compact Disco 7" concludes Radio Compact Disco's "first show."
