The Mecha Hammer Mario is a giant mecha that appears in Super Mario: Donkey Kong 1 of the Super Mario Kodansha manga. The mecha is based after the Mechani-Kong from the King Kong Escapes movie.
While the Peach Zoo was not doing so well, Luigi was commisioned to quickly build a "Mecha Kong" that was originally planned for a staged fight against Donkey Kong to raise the ticket selling, but when Pauline was hired and guests came attracted by the zookeeper's beauty, the plan was scrapped. When Bowser takes control of Donkey Kong through a control ring that enlarges him, Peach asks Luigi to reprise the robot contruction, but to also redesign it after Mario, who will be driving it to stop Donkey Kong from damaging the city. In just three minutes, Luigi successfully assembles the robot and sends it out. Mario starts by shooting giant hammers from the robot's elbows, and while he hits Donkey Kong, the hammers still end up landing onto people's roofs. Donkey Kong arrives at the Construction Site, where Bowser is, to bring him Pauline, but Mario launches the robot using propulsor jets in the robot's kneww to grab the ape. After catching Pauline, Bowser destroys the Construction Site and both the Mecha Hammer Mario and the control ring get destroyed.
