The interior of the lab

Dr. Mario Nakamatsu Kenkyūjo is Dr. Mario Nakamatsu's lab, where he creates his inventions in the Super Mario Kodansha manga. It only appears in the "Time Traveler" storyline, but in the Yoshi's Safari adaptation, Bowser kidnaps him and gives him a room of his castle for him to create his weapons under the threat of harming his grandaughter Kinoppe.

Structurally, the lab resembles a cartoonish futuristic house, complete with pipes, metallic walls, and a propeller-like weathervane. Inside, many robot husks (like Mecha Kuribō's) and tools can be seen on the floor.

It only appears in the beginning and ending of the "Time Traveler" storyline, where Bowser stoms in to rob Dr. Nakamatsu of his Time Machine. Luckily for him, Mario and his friends come to visit him and, knowing of the theft, take the Time Machine prototype and chase Bowser through time. In the end, Mario decides to crash the two Time Machines together moments before the theft, preventing Bowser from robbing Dr. Nakamatsu and reversing all the changes made to the timeline.
