Change to "Underground Areas?"[edit]

"Subterranean" is Latin literally for "below Earth," "sub" meaning "below" and "Terra" meaning "Earth." However, we have places like the Deep Dark Galaxy listed, which is decidedly not on Earth, but does take place heavily underground. As such, I think the less-specific name "Underground Areas" should be used. I might make a proposal on this, but I'm busy at the moment, so I'll leave this note here. That's Latin, though. In English, it just means "below the (lowercase) earth." They're pretty much synonyms. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 06:53, 16 August 2018 (EDT)
It's a Latin word that's also used in English. This seems much like that "cosmic" vs. "outer space" thing from before. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 12:42, 16 August 2018 (EDT)
Wait, doesn't "terra" itself mean earth/ground as well? There are a lot of English words from Latin that lose their original meaning anyway. This seems like an unnecessary change imo. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 01:54, 20 August 2018 (EDT)
Earth is not ground, it's Earth. Soil is ground. "Earth" in regards to soil is Earth soil. Not Moon soil. Not Mars soil. Earth soil. Last I checked, anyways. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 02:04, 20 August 2018 (EDT)
I'm curious where you got that, because afaik both are used to refer to soil in general. And you didn't need to drive your point home there; I got you the first time. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 03:24, 20 August 2018 (EDT)
