Mr. Luggs, the Glutton is a thirty-year-old portrait ghost in Luigi's Mansion and its Nintendo 3DS remake. Mr. Luggs is an obese ghost, and as stated in his bio he even ate himself to death (the PAL bio was changed to say that Mr. Luggs "ate until he died"). Mr. Luggs, the Glutton, is a thirty year old portrait ghost that was released from his canvas prison by King Boo immediately prior to the events of Luigi's Mansion.
History
Luigi's Mansion
As his moniker suggests, Mr. Luggs is very obese and particularly prefers all-you-can-eat buffets to three meals a day. In fact, Mr. Luggs actually ate himself to death by consuming too much food as a living being (or, possibly, by eating himself alive). However, even in death Luggs was not satisfied, and spent his afterlife eating food in the Dining Room of Luigi's Mansion. Luigi did not need to capture Mr. Luggs to help him in the quest to find his brother Mario. After acquiring the key to the Dining Room, Luigi could simply pass Mr. Luggs and head into the Kitchen. However, if Luigi captured Luggs, the green-clad ghost hunter would be rewarded with treasure.
Mr. Luggs is the first optional portrait ghost of Luigi's Mansion. If Luigi chooses to capture Mr. Luggs, he uses a Fire Elemental Ghost to light the candles on the table. After lighting all the candles, Mr. Luggs and his dinner become visible. To make Mr. Luggs vulnerable, Luigi needs to suck up Mr. Luggs' food with his Poltergust 3000. Two Waiters attempt to resupply Mr. Luggs with more food. Once they are sucked in, his meal can not be refilled. Mr. Luggs becomes enraged and attacks Luigi by spewing fifteen fireballs at him. Each fireball deals ten HP of damage and briefly lights Luigi on fire. After spewing fifteen fireballs, Mr. Luggs quickly tires out, rendering him vulnerable to the Poltergust. If Luigi does not capture Mr. Luggs in time, Mr. Luggs gets back up and breathes five more fireballs before tiring again. Once Mr. Luggs is captured, the lights turn on, revealing a green treasure chest. Later on, in the Gallery, Mr. Luggs' portrait number is 11.

If Luigi chose to capture Mr. Luggs, he would discover the Glutton next to the Dining Room table, shoving food into his mouth. Peculiarly, Luggs ate in the dark, and after Luigi used the Game Boy Horror, Luggs' heart revealed that the gluttonous ghost preferred not to be seen. As such, Luigi captured a Fire Elemental Ghost from a nearby torch with his Poltergust 3000. The plumber then  preceded to shoot flames at the tables candles, setting them aflame. After lighting all the candles, the Glutton and his dinner would become visible. However, Luggs could not be captured yet. To make the Glutton vulnerable, Luigi began to suck up Luggs' food with his trusty vacuum. Two Waiters would attempt to resupply Luggs with more food, but Luigi quickly disposed of them with the Poltergust. Eventually, when all the food was gone, Mr. Luggs would become enraged and attack Luigi by spewing fireballs at the green plumber. Each fireball caused ten HP of damage and would briefly light Luigi on fire. However, due to his obesity, Mr. Luggs would quickly tire out and flop onto the table, rendering the portrait ghost vulnerable. Thus Luigi began to suck Mr. Luggs up with the Poltergust 3000, and although the portly ghost fought back with some strong pulls of his own, Luigi eventually emerged the victor.

Mr. Luggs appears in volume 28 of Super Mario-kun in the Luigi's Mansion arc and serves as a spoiled man. When Luigi and Toad encounter him, he orders them to give him food. Luigi does and almost gives Toad to him, but does not due to Toad dismaying. Luigi and Toad give Mr. Luggs all the food they have, even Mario's hat, but Mr. Luggs still is not satisfied. Luigi gets annoyed and sucks Mr. Luggs up.

After capturing Mr. Luggs, Luigi restored light to the Dining Room and a green treasure chest appeared. Inside the chest, Luigi discovered two Gold Bars and a Blue Diamond, among other minor treasures.

However, even in death, Luggs is not satisfied, and spends his afterlife eating food in the Dining Room of Luigi's Mansion. History[edit]

Luigi's Mansion[edit]
