The 3-Up Heart[1] is a heart-shaped item that first appears in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. As the name implies, it grants the player three extra lives. Originally, it was depicted as a 1-Up Heart with a "3" written on it, and it was found only in minigames. It reappears in Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3, where it is depicted as a blinking heart and shows up in hard-to-reach places and secret rooms.
