Megonta is an enemy that appeared in Kid Icarus: Uprsing resembling a giant pill bug with a purple metallic shell that almost completely protects it from harm. It can roll up and slam into Pit if he gets too close. It also has a hole on the top of it's shell which can fire a few explosive rounds in a scattered area if it's stationary and Pit is at a distance. Though, it won't take damage if the shell is hit, but if it's exposed parts of the body is hit by a strong melee or ranged attack, it will roll back for a few seconds, being completely helpless.

Megontas also appear in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS as Smash Run enemies. Like in the original game, it won't take damage if it's shell and can only be damaged by hitting it's exposed parts of the body. It can also roll and slam at the player, it lacks the ability to fire explosive rounds though.

Megonta You wouldn't think a wood louse would make a very scary enemy, but when it's as big as this... Eek. It attacks by curling into a ball and rolling across the stage. There's no point in hitting its shell—it's solid. Instead, knock it onto its back with a smash attack, and then pummel its stomach while it's trying to right itself.
