ATVs (known outside North America as Quads) are vehicles used mainly in Mario Kart 8, alongside Karts and bikes. They are four-wheelers of many different colors and have features that differ from Karts and Bikes. They are set to make their debut in Mario Kart 8.
The basic model of the ATV for all characters is the Standard ATV, a motocross four-wheeler showing the emblem of the character over the plate of the front and the sides of the rear. The color of a standard ATV also changes, matching the character's custom color.
