On July 25, [[List of Mario games by date#1988|1988]] an album of 3D Hot Rally's music was released. The music in the title screen of the game was added to ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]'' as one of the songs playable in [[Mario Circuit]]. ''3D Hot Rally'' marks the first time that Luigi appears taller and thinner than Mario on a box art. It is the sequel to Famicom Grand Prix: F-1 Race, although the two games are very different. The game play is similar to that of Rad Racer, which was released before it. Famicom Grand Prix II: 3D Hot Rally marks the first time that Luigi appears taller and thinner than Mario on a box art.
