Chibibo
From the Super Mario Wiki
Chibibos are Goomba-like creatures that resided in Sarasaland during the events of Super Mario Land. Chibobos slowly meander to the side, waiting to hit Mario. Their similar attack pattern is probably due to the fact that they are smaller cousins of the Goomba (according to an official Nintendo Power magazine). Once stomped or shot with a superball, they awarded Mario with one hundred points. After Nokobons, Chibibos are the most common enemy in the game, appearing in all kingdoms with the exception of the Easton Kingdom.
Etymologically, Chibibo's name is a pun comprised of the words "chibi", which means "small", and "Kuribo", the Japanese name for Goombas. While it's not truly understood why, the enemies of Super Mario Land retain their Japanese names, unlike those of the main series. If Super Mario Land had received a proper translation, the character's name would likely be "Small Goomba".
Chibibos are similar in size to Micro Goombas but otherwise behave like regular Goombas.
