Is this a conjectural name? Because if it is, I find it a bit cumbersome. Why not "Surboard Vehicle", since it's the only vehicle that dons a surfboard? Ray Trace^(T|C) 16:50, 5 December 2017 (EST)

No, it is official. I don't have the source personally, but Mister Wu (talk) has found the name in the Mario Kart 8 PRIMA guide, and he said he would be able to add the citation when the article was created, I was going to drop him a quick note when I'd made all three. It's not the best name, and a shorter official one would be appreciated, but the in-game one is CarSurf (Not exactly useful for an article title), and I personally wouldn't be able to find another, so if you know any better official names, they'd be very welcome!
