Is this name official? Fawfulfury65

Probably not. It seems to be a modified (or rather, Bowsified) Red Switch. Modified as it has a gold Bowser choker as the base, and that all important skull. It's not Bowser's skull, but it's a skull. That+the red colour=a big red button marked DO NOT PRESS. What will you do?-Press it. IGN calls it a skull switch once, then calls it a "switch". 30STM.PNG This Is War 30STM.PNG 11:49, 10 May 2010 (EDT)

yes, its is offical since, in fact, it has a big skull on on it. or i guess it can be a death switch, but it seems like it. what do's nintendos guide say? User:Bjdill/sig 12:22 10 august, 2010

Move to Boss Switch, incorporate Super Mario Land (and possibly other games)

This isn't the only case where boss fights can be ended by hitting a button behind the boss - it first happens in Super Mario Land (where it is unnamed, and the sprite is too small to show any sort of detail like a skull), and then later in the other NSMB games. Currently, the former does not have a page, and the latter are included on ! Switch along with the sort seen in Super Mario World that "turn on" solid line blocks (please note, the latter is the only type that the article introduction mentions!), although since the latter technically isn't conjecturally-named, I'm leaving that version as an alternate option in the poll rather than the main one (remember that, per the recent proposal that passed, you can vote for two options in a three-option poll).

My main concern here is SML, and thinking it's best to get both the unnamed switches on one page rather than making up two page names unnecessarily, but I thought it was best to leave full-consolidate as at least an option.

Move to Boss Switch, incorporate SML but *not* NSMBx

  1. Reboot (talk) Per above.
  2. Wildgoosespeeder (talk) Per all.
  3. Pseudo-dino (talk) Per all.

Move to Boss Switch, incorporate SML and boss-! switches from other NSMB games

Do Nothing

  1. Wildgoosespeeder (talk) If my other vote doesn't happen, this is OK too. This is rather complicated.
  2. Fawful's Minion (talk) I'm siding with Wildgoosespeeder on this one, they both defeat Bowser so there is no difference. (Struck for after deadline).

Comments

If anyone is wondering why I voted more than once, a recent proposal passed for those who were not made aware. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 21:30, 21 May 2016 (EDT)

Okay, now I don't think that proposal was a good idea, but that's another venue for discussion. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 12:44, 24 May 2016 (EDT)
Fawful's Minion... have you actually followed on with what's being proposed here? You just missed the cut-off anyway, but (a) WGS *also* voted for Option 1, (b) Bowser isn't even IN Super Mario Land and (c) that would be a reason to MERGE, not not-so. - Reboot (talk) 18:32, 31 May 2016 (EDT)

Ah, whoops, got my +1 and -1s mixed up. I have doubts about Fawful's Minion's vote, still... (Re: Rule 4).
And the name's conjectural, but so was Skull Switch. It was moving from a specific conjectural name to a more generic one. - Reboot (talk) 18:44, 31 May 2016 (EDT)
