Name[edit]

Haven't played Paper Jam so I don't know for sure, but the infobox and article here call this a Shiny Paper Swoop. Should this be moved? Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 11:20, 13 September 2017 (EDT)

I feel that would make sense, since that is what they are called in-game. Same with the other Shiny enemies. --A sprite of a Flame Chomp from New Super Mario Bros. Wii.TheFlameChomp (talk) 11:25, 13 September 2017 (EDT)

I agree. The name of the page should be changed, too. As far as I know there's no normal Shiny Swoop. Sprite of an Ice Snifit in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. LED42™ (talkedits) 11:26, 13 September 2017 (EDT)

If that's what they're called in game, then I'm moving this. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 11:26, 13 September 2017 (EDT)

I just checked Paper Jam, and from a battle with Shiny Shy Guys, it actually appears that the "Shiny" part of their names isn't actually present (they are just called "Paper Shy Guys") What should be done to the articles' names in this case? --A sprite of a Flame Chomp from New Super Mario Bros. Wii.TheFlameChomp (talk) 17:19, 13 September 2017 (EDT)

Is that the same case with all the other "Shiny" enemies? Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 17:21, 13 September 2017 (EDT)
There are shiny enemies in Sticker Star, so maybe it's the same thing? Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 17:27, 13 September 2017 (EDT)
Only the ones listed at the beginning of the Shiny page appear in Sticker Star. And I checked, and Shiny Ninjis also are just called "Paper Ninjis" and I just wasted like an hour changing the links... What should be done now? --A sprite of a Flame Chomp from New Super Mario Bros. Wii.TheFlameChomp (talk) 17:29, 13 September 2017 (EDT)
Seems in Paper Jam, "shiny" is a rare stronger form, like in Pokemon. If that's the case, then the Paper Jam specific enemy pages should probably be moved to the "Paper" counterpart page, with a Shiny name being a redirect. Paper Jam's Shiny Paper Goomba is on the Shiny Goomba page, but for those without a Sticker Star shiny counterpart, the info should go on the the standard Paper enemy page if there is one, or the regular enemy page. In this case, Paper Swoop is currently a redirect, so the Shiny information would go on the standard Swoop page. Wow, we messed up. The next Nintendo Redirect starts in about 20 minutes, so I'll help out with this once that's over (I don't want to miss it). Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 17:42, 13 September 2017 (EDT)
The ones in Sticker Star I believe are actually referred to as "Shiny" (though I don't even know if I should trust my memory anymore...) Also, does this mean the Paper counterparts would receive a page? They currently don't have one. Also, I'll be watching the direct too, so I won't be doing anything with this either. --A sprite of a Flame Chomp from New Super Mario Bros. Wii.TheFlameChomp (talk) 17:47, 13 September 2017 (EDT)
idk, I just looked at the bestiary page. I may have to play Sticker Star again :P Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 17:49, 13 September 2017 (EDT)
Just checked, and they are called "Shiny" in Sticker Star. --A sprite of a Flame Chomp from New Super Mario Bros. Wii.TheFlameChomp (talk) 17:50, 13 September 2017 (EDT)
Okay. If the paper counterparts don't already have a page, I wouldn't make them. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 17:52, 13 September 2017 (EDT)
