From Iwaka Asks: New Super Mario Bros. Wii[1], among other places: "Nakago: I'm not sure who came up with the name, but we all referred to this as “the runway”. So at that point, we looked again at the maps and completely reworked the levels so that Mario would have places where he could take off from. Luigi can get it

In Super Mario 3D Land, if you skip any levels in the normal world (and there are at least a dozen you can), then play them for the first time as Luigi, then this item and the Invincibility Leaf can and will appear. The Super Mario Bros. Special article links to this page. It states that the wing item is the same as this one. If it is considered the same shouldn't the game be mentioned on this article? Is this how Enemies have wing?

is this how Goomba and Koopa Troopas become Paragoombas and Paratroopas? this is my head canon for how they become what they are, but I wanna see if there is any canon for the P-Wing making enemies have wings.
