:I know the word "acknowledged" has some wiggle room (and it probably wasn't the best choice in retrospect), but when I proposed the concept of this page on proposals, what I had in mind was fan games/bootlegs that were taken down or had received message from Nintendo or one of its hired legal firms directly. The C&D the game author received was actually because Nintendo wanted the domain name for the website where he was hosting his game. MFGG has been hosting free unauthorized Mario knockoffs for almost 15 years and has even been mentioned on TV and nobody else there has ever gotten a C&D from Nintendo. I'm going to see if I can get a source on the nature of the game's C&D. - Puddin(T|C) 
- Hence why the article said "Redigit claimed". But if you get a better source than a "claim", then it's a great thing.

- Mario: Check your edit histories. I made this complaint on 18:30, May 16th. Glowsquid added "claimed" to the article AFTER my comment (his edit was at 18:40, May 16th.) I'm fine with the way the article is worded now. (I am still a little annoyed that most people actually believe the guy got a C&D from Nintendo when no proof was ever provided, but that's besides the point.) - Puddin(T|C)

- I think the only official response to Project M is through Miiverse. If users use the abbreviation "PM" or outright say the name, they will be banned (either momentarily or indefinitely, I don't remember) for discussing "criminal activity." Unfortunately, this has resulted in erroneous bans such as abbreviating "Paper Mario" or for the time of day from noon to midnight.
It'll also result in some problems should my Power Master series have a Miiverse page in the future...The "criminal activity" part pretty much shows Nintendo's stand on Project M. EDIT: The thing is, this isn't a Mario knockoff. It's a Smash Bros. knockoff.
