:The ''SMBD'' instruction manual mentioned "the legendary <u>B</u>lack <u>B</u>oo", so yeah, that one's official. I'm not sure about the other two, but Red Boo's probably named in whatever game provided the French name (my guess is ''SMS''), at the very least. - {{User:Walkazo/sig}} 18:39, 22 May 2012 (EDT)

Welp, this is the second Boo Proposal I made in the past 24 hours. Tying back to the [[Green Boo]] proposal I made a little while back, I don’t see a reason for this to be an article that’s separate from the main boo page. At the end of the day, the functionality of this boo is the same as the green boo’s original functionality: A recolor used to show an increase in difficulty. Yes, this one had a name in the manual, but this is where it becomes uncertain: It also has a Japanese name; Dark Boo. This shares the name with an existing enemy named [[Dark Boo]] as well, and the similarities between Dark boo and Black boo are even more noticeable(Similar Color, Same Japanese Name, Same function of being a stronger version of boo). So, I think this can go 3 different ways:
* Option 1: Merge with Boo. You could make the argument that they’re merely a recolor of a boo used for difficulty purposes, and that there is a different between the Dark Boo’s functionality and the Black Boo’s Functionality(Racing you vs. Fighting you).
* Option 2: Merge with Dark Boo. The similarities between them are greater than that of the regular White boo, to the point of the sharing a Japanese name.
* Option 3: Do Nothing. The oppose option. You can also make the argument that it’s a separate named character, and therefore deserves it’s own separate article away from Boo and Dark Boo.
What do you think?

#{{User|Somethingone}} I think this one makes the most sense, seeing as when you compare the 2, they’re basically the same(Even going so far as sharing their Japanese Name).

Welp, this is the second Boo Proposal I made in the past 24 hours. Tying back to the Green Boo proposal I made a little while back, I don’t see a reason for this to be an article that’s separate from the main boo page. At the end of the day, the functionality of this boo is the same as the green boo’s original functionality: A recolor used to show an increase in difficulty. Yes, this one had a name in the manual, but this is where it becomes uncertain: It also has a Japanese name; Dark Boo. This shares the name with an existing enemy named Dark Boo as well, and the similarities between Dark boo and Black boo are even more noticeable(Similar Color, Same Japanese Name, Same function of being a stronger version of boo). So, I think this can go 3 different ways:

  • Option 1: Merge with Boo. You could make the argument that they’re merely a recolor of a boo used for difficulty purposes, and that there is a different between the Dark Boo’s functionality and the Black Boo’s Functionality(Racing you vs. Fighting you).
  • Option 2: Merge with Dark Boo. The similarities between them are greater than that of the regular White boo, to the point of the sharing a Japanese name.
  • Option 3: Do Nothing. The oppose option. You can also make the argument that it’s a separate named character, and therefore deserves it’s own separate article away from Boo and Dark Boo.

What do you think?

Merge with Boo

Merge with Dark Boo

  1. Somethingone (talk) I think this one makes the most sense, seeing as when you compare the 2, they’re basically the same(Even going so far as sharing their Japanese Name).
