The ''SM64'' / ''SM64DS'' section on this page suggests the page be split into "! Block" and "Cap Block." I created a page for Cap Block, but it got reverted because the split wasn't discussed. Since it's suggested that Cap Block be its own article and I previously created a page for it, I think Cap Block should have an article. Also, this article doesn't have any pictures of the Cap Blocks, and if "Cap Block" is an official name and can be discussed in detail, it should probably have an article, where pictures of Cap Blocks can be, since putting the Cap Block pictures in the ''SM64'' / ''SM64DS'' section on the ! Block article wouldn't look very good.

Orange ! Blocks?

Aren't the ! Blocks in Super Mario 64 and the remake yellow instead of orange? In Super Mario 64 DS the blocks look more yellow than orange. Please reply to my talk page. TheUnknown67 18:28, 10 July 2016 (EDT)

Item?

When I played Super Mario World, I hit a red ! Block and I got a Fire Flower. When I hit the blue ! Block, I got a Super Star. How in the world did this happen? Red Oho Jee from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions. OhoJeeOnFire (talk)

Split Cap Block without merging Metal Box

  1. Dwhitney (talk) Per what I said.

Split Cap Block and merge Metal Box with it

  1. 7feetunder (talk) Since we split Cap Switch, I don't see a problem with splitting Cap Block as well, and they have a distinct purpose from the standard yellow ! Blocks that hold miscellaneous items like coins, Koopa Shells, and Power Stars. I do think that Metal Box should be merged with it though, since it has nothing over the other Cap Blocks other than appearing in a crossover franchise.

Do nothing

Comments

There should be a third option to both split Cap Block and merge Metal Box with it. If Cap Block gets its own article, then I don't see a reason for Metal Box to be separate from it just because it's the one that became an item in Smash. In terms of the base Mario franchise, it's no more important than the other two. Dark BonesSig.png 20:27, November 30, 2021 (EST)
