Oh, Brother!

Plot Synopsis

It's been raining for two weeks in the Mushroom Kingdom, and Princess Peach and the Mario Bros. have been forced to spend that period in Toad's House. Luigi grows annoyed with the record album that Mario is listening to and throws it in the fireplace. Mario gets mad about this, and he and Luigi bicker. Luigi pulls down Mario's hat, pulls then lets go of Mario's overall buttons, and then pulls Mario's mustache. They keep fighting until Luigi decides to leave, despite the downpour outside. Peach makes Mario go after him.

The two-week downpour is actually being caused by Kooky Von Koopa's Power Shower; the runoff from the rain. It causes makes the Coins in the Pipe Maze wash down into the basement of Bowser's Castle. Unfortunately for him, at this moment the Power Shower springs a leak. Bowser tells Kooky to fix it but he can't. So Bowser orders him to kidnap one of the Mario Bros. Bowser decides to take Mario.

Mario catches up to Luigi, and they begin bickering again. Their argument is cut short when Mario gets nabbed by the Plumber Pole (another one of Ludwig's inventions) and dragged into Bowser's basement. He initially refuses to fix the Power Shower's leak, so Kooky turns him into his slave by way of a brainwashing helmet he calls the Lame Brainer.

Up above, Luigi takes it upon himself to rescue "that bilge-brained brother of his", but first he goes back to Toad's to get a Frog Suit in order to avoid the underwater enemies more easily in the Pipe Maze. Meanwhile, Mario fixes the Power Shower. When he shows up in Bowser's basement, Bowser orders Mario to destroy him. Mario tries to attack Luigi, but Luigi manages to cause the Lame Brainer to jump off his head by doing what he did before to Mario. Then it lands on Ludwig's head. They order Kooky to attack Bowser, the Mario Bros. destroy the Power Shower and return to Toad's House. Then they argue (in a polite tone) over whose fault it was that their argument got started (Mario says its "my" fault but Luigi says that its his fault). Then Luigi does what he did before to Mario and Mario says that you can't live without brothers.

Trivia/Goofs

• Peach lives in a castle. Why couldn't have she gone there if there was a two-week downpour instead of Toad's House?

• When Mario says, "I'll never work for you!", his mouth isn't moving at all!
