Template:Coinpackbox The Mystery Adventures Pack (known as Mystery Adventure Pack in Europe and Australia) is the ninth Coin Rush downloadable course pack released for New Super Mario Bros. 2, and is one of the two final packs, released on December 20, 2012. The difficulty rating is three out of five stars. The courses in this pack are centered around exploration to obtain a high coin total.

Course 1

Template:Levelbox The course is an underground maze with a pyramid-based theme. Enemies consist of the Hammer Brother sub-species.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: In the first chamber on the stone elevator down, it's in clear sight above a Hammer Bro on the left side.
  • Star Coin 2: In the second maze chamber, the player must head to the left until they reach a room with a Boomerang Bro. The Star Coin is high up at the right side of that room.
  • Star Coin 3: At the far right of the maze, there is a mini maze full of brick blocks. Mini Mario must hit the P-Switch and get there in time to grab the coin.

Enemies

Course 2

Template:Levelbox The course takes place in a sky level. The player stands on a group of Flying Question Blocks as a moving platform. Enemies also come in on these, which contain Golden Mushrooms when hit.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: At the beginning of the flying segment, it's under the red, green and yellow pipes and can only be collected with a Koopa Shell.
  • Star Coin 2: After the Checkpoint Flag, the player must jump on top of the following row of brick blocks. The Star Coin is on the next, higher platform between two shorter platforms.
  • Star Coin 3: At the Roulette Block, the player must take the lower route. The Star Coin is above a Flying ?-Block carrying a Fire Piranha Plant.

Enemies

Course 3

Template:Levelbox This course is another underground area, with an industrial theme. The level is devided into two major inside areas and two minor outside areas. The pink pipe route is both a shortcut and a hub for the many chambers of the lower area, the factory interior, which is the central area of the level. Both the beginning and the end of the level takes place outside during the quiet night. This level is full of flipping and rotating platforms, conveyor belts and spikepits. Some sets of brick blocks flip open as the player approaches them while some require a push of a button or defeating a Chain Chomp.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: At the end of the fall, as the player enters the level, they must use a Bob-omb, Gold Flower or Super Leaf to break away the brick wall on the left. The Star Coin is behind that wall.
  • Star Coin 2: In the area with the 2 doors, the player must hit the ?-Switch to make the left one accessible. The player must then defeat the Chain Chomp inside the room to open the top part of the room where the Star Coin lies.
  • Star Coin 3: At the very end of the level, the player has to break away the brick wall with the tanooki tail or golden fireballs. The Star Coin is behind that wall, hovering above a set of spikes.
