Template:Bisenemy Kretin X (also known as Alpha Kretin X and Beta Kretin X) is an X boss fought in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. It is fought in The Gauntlet after the defeat of the original Kretin.
Battle
As with other X Bosses, Kretin X has the same attacks as the original Kretin, only faster and stronger. The battle starts with several Kretins formed together, colored red and green. Red Kretins can only be attacked by Mario and green by Luigi. Once the player defeats each Kretin, the creature falls apart and 5 of the 6 Kretins are defeated, leaving the lead one alone. The lead Kretin will create other Kretins to aid it and will shuffle around with them to confuse the player. In this form the Kretins will fire lasers at the plumbers and they need to jump over them to avoid taking damage.
