Template:Anotherlanguage Template:Species-infobox Pointe[1] is the name given to every ghost enemy that haunts the Ship of Souls, a level in the Aqua World from DK: King of Swing. Pointe resemble generic ghosts speculated by media, having a menacing figure on their faces consisting of two big empty eyes and a tiny mouth, followed by a chubby body overall, short hands, and a regular phantom tail; they also have a pointy top on their heads. In the extended Mario series, this appearance was also approached by the ghost foes from Wario Land II, although the behavior of the two enemies is completely different.

Pointe float lonely around a set area, until they detect Donkey Kong. In this case, they will start chasing/approaching the ape hero, attempting to hurt him. Not only this, but they also go invisible before intercepting the Kong; in this state, he can easily pass through the ghastly fiends without damaging himself. Nevertheless, the ghosts can so easily beguile him, as they become visible again once covering Donkey Kong, and thus they can easily harm him. But in this state, a Pointe is vulnerable. Donkey Kong can charge into one and send it to eternal death.
