Mario on the Super Star diving down to Mount Pajamaja.

Finishing Bros. is a special move performed by the giant Dreamy Luigi in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. The move icon automatically appears when the HP of the giant boss is nearly depleted and begins to flash yellow.

When the HP bar of the boss is nearly depleted, it flashes yellow, giving no other option other than this attack. When this icon is pressed, Dreamy Luigi jumps into space and grabs a Super Star. Mario then hops onto the Super Star, followed by Dreamy Luigi throwing it towards the weakened boss to hit its weak point. While Mario and the Super Star dives into the boss, the player must tilt the Nintendo 3DS to align the star-shaped cursor with the weak point; much like a crosshair. Missing the target results an "OK!" attack, while a direct hit results an "Excellent!" attack, showing it in three different angles.

Star Driver

When Giant Bowser is weakened, a stronger version of this attack called Star Driver is performed. Star Driver is basically the same as Finishing Bros., except that Prince Dreambert expands the star. The star crosshair is not present for this move. Instead, Mario has to dodge the incoming fireballs that Giant Bowser is shooting. After avoiding all of the fireballs, the star goes directly to Bowser, crashes into him and defeats him. If Mario is hit by one of fireballs, the move will end in failure and Bowser will jump out from the pool of lava, forcing Dreamy Luigi to push him back into it once more.

Trivia

  • During the attack, Mario rides the Super Star in a similar fashion to how Kirby does with the Warp Star.
