Cleft

Clefts are burly rock monsters, often with spikes on their head. Among other areas, they inhabit Mt. Rugged, Gusty Gulch, Petal Meadows, Boggly Woods, Twilight Trail, and even the Moon. Mario encountered Clefts during his adventures in Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
Varieties of Cleft include:
- The common Spiked Cleft
- The spikeless Bald Cleft
- The green Hyper Cleft
- The powerful Iron Cleft
- The Moon Cleft, which is only found on the Moon
