| '''Chump Charity''' is an event in ''[[Mario Party 8]]'' that replaced the [[Last Five Turns Event]] from all the other games of the series. It takes place at the beginning of the last five turns and is hosted by [[MC Ballyhoo]]. First, like in all games before, Ballyhoo gives out the current standings. He'll then give the player or team in last place a piece of [[Duelo Candy]], unless the game is being played on [[Koopa's Tycoon Town]], in which case he will give them 30 [[coins]]. After that, his hat [[Big Top]] will shower the entire board with coins, placing a [[Coin Bag]] on [[Red Space]]s, and one coin on every other space unoccupied by players at the time.

| In Duel mode, there is an almost identical version of this event called '''Special Bonus'''. Here, MC gives out the standings, then lets the losing player use the dart wheel to get a prize. It could be candy, coins, or nothing at all.
