A Best Badge is a badge that is won in Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour and helps to unlock new courses and characters in Mario Golf: Advance Tour. They are color-coded by the score:
- Birdie Badge – Blue
- Eagle Badge – Green
- Hole-in-One Badge – Yellow
- Albatross Badge – Red
The best badges can be used to unlock Waluigi, Wario and Bowser in Mario Golf: Advance Tour. This can be done using the GCN-GBA Link Cable. It is also used to unlock Boo in Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour.
The total is 216 badges with all tournaments in MGTT, 360 badges with all tournaments in MGAT. (Each 108 with normal and star tournament in MGTT, 90 with normal and star tournament for the Singles and Doubles in MGAT.)
