- During the Nintendo Direct presentation on March 8, 2018, WarioWare Gold was announced for the Nintendo 3DS and will release in August 2018, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey was announced for the Nintendo 3DS and will be released in 2019, both a Nintendo 3DS and a Nintendo Switch port of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker was announced and will release in July 2018, a Nintendo 3DS remake of Luigi's Mansion was announced and will release in 2018, and a new Super Smash Bros. (pictured) game was revealed and will release in 2018. More information about Mario Tennis Aces was also revealed, which will be released on June 22, 2018.
- Super Mario Odyssey was updated on February 21, 2018, which added the multiplayer online mode Balloon World to the game, along with new costumes and Snapshot Mode filters.
- During Nintendo's financial briefing on January 31, 2018, a new mobile installment of the Mario Kart series, Mario Kart Tour, was announced, which will be released during the next fiscal year (ending March 2019). Additionally, Nintendo confirmed a partnership with Illumination Entertainment to work on a new Mario animated film, co-produced by Shigeru Miyamoto and Chris Meledandri (founder and CEO of Illumination Entertainment).
- Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle was released in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong on January 18, 2018.
