- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was updated to version 4.0.0 on September 1, 2026, adding enhanced support for Nintendo Switch 2, including improved load times and visuals, support for up to 8 players locally in Multiplayer, and CameraPlay support, along with several gameplay adjustments.
- 26 music tracks from Mario Kart World that arrange music from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and 2 bonus tracks were made available on the Nintendo Music app on August 24, 2026, completing the soundtrack.
- 16 music tracks from Mario Kart World that arrange music from Super Mario 3D Land, Super Mario 3D World, and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury were made available on the Nintendo Music app on August 17, 2026.
