There can be 5 at once, and taking into account that Mario's stats are probably low from fighting deep into the Pit, he can lose easily. These are impossibly hard enemies and have a huge defense. Art Attack and Koop's Shell Slam work best but if Art Attack is gone, Shooting Stars also work. If Mario can, he can try to [[Superguard]], even though their thin green laser attacks are hard to see. The lasers are defense-penetrating, making  all Defend upgrading badges useless except for P-Down D-Up (P).
Being that they are some of the final enemies encountered in the Pit of 100 Trials, they have very high defense and attack. They have many different attacks, all powered by magic. The most common attack an Elite Wizzerd will use is its laser beam, which inflicts eight damage on either [[Mario]] or his [[partner]]; it can also pierce through any defense badge equipped. Other common attacks caused by Elite Wizzerd are its ability to tickle — which does eight damage — as well as their lightning storm, which does a total of sixteen damage — eight damage each to Mario and his partner.

When this enemy doesn't have any allies in the battlefield, it's best to have [[Vivian]] set it on fire, so its illusion trick will keep failing.
Elite Wizzerds also have the ability to improve their stats, rather than attacking. Elite Wizzerds can increase their attack by five, their defense by three, and restore their [[HP]] by ten. They also have the ability to make themselves [[dodgy]], [[invisible]], and [[electrified]] for a total of two turns. If alone, an Elite Wizzerd will create four copies of itself. These copies cannot be damaged, nor can they attack; they are merely created as a diversion for Mario and his partner. If the real Elite Wizzerd is found, the copies will vanish for the rest of that turn.

Elite Wizzerds are the most powerful variety of Wizzerds appearing in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. They can only be encountered on floors 91-99 of the Pit of 100 Trials.

Being that they are some of the final enemies encountered in the Pit of 100 Trials, they have very high defense and attack. They have many different attacks, all powered by magic. The most common attack an Elite Wizzerd will use is its laser beam, which inflicts eight damage on either Mario or his partner; it can also pierce through any defense badge equipped. Other common attacks caused by Elite Wizzerd are its ability to tickle — which does eight damage — as well as their lightning storm, which does a total of sixteen damage — eight damage each to Mario and his partner.

Elite Wizzerds also have the ability to improve their stats, rather than attacking. Elite Wizzerds can increase their attack by five, their defense by three, and restore their HP by ten. They also have the ability to make themselves dodgy, invisible, and electrified for a total of two turns. If alone, an Elite Wizzerd will create four copies of itself. These copies cannot be damaged, nor can they attack; they are merely created as a diversion for Mario and his partner. If the real Elite Wizzerd is found, the copies will vanish for the rest of that turn.
