Template:Levelbox Spiny Shell Smashers is a course which appears in the Story Mode of Super Mario Maker 2. It is given to Mario by Purple Toad, and is set in the forest theme and the New Super Mario Bros. U style. The course has a difficulty rating of 3/4 stars. Once this course is completed, the trio of ? Blocks to the west of Peach's Castle can be hit, allowing the player to unlock the Superball Flower as a course part as well as the Superball Mario Hat.
Layout
The level begins with a Warp Pipe spawning Spiny Shells, followed by some Hard Blocks and Big Piranha Plants. After passing a big winged Muncher, Mario must follow some vines to some Thwomps, which he must take out to proceed to a Warp Pipe. Mario must then follow a Snake Block across a gauntlet of Hard Blocks and coins, which then leads to another Warp Pipe and in turn the Goal Pole.
Description
- "AARGH! I can't hit the ? Blocks because those annoying Hard Blocks are in the way. The best way to break Hard Blocks is with a Spiny Shell, but I don't have one. Could you go find me a Spiny Shell?"
