Quawks the Parrot is a purple parrot and Animal Buddy that appeared in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble. Quawks is featured in two levels, "Buzzer Barrage" and "Low-G Labyrinth". Quawks can use his claws to pick up barrels and drop them on the ground to hit enemies. Since then, "Squeaks" was atributed to the unnamed purple parrot, while "Flapper" is used to designate the unnamed blue parrot from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. However, in Donkey Kong Barrel Blast, he is named Quawks.
