Template:Minigame-infobox Bowser's Big Blast (stylized as BOWSER's Big Blast) is a battle minigame in Mario Party 2 and returns in Mario Party: The Top 100. The minigame's specific concept, with the Bowser head and the switches, later appears in Mario Party 4, under the name Bowser's Bigger Blast. The Merry-Go-Chomp minigame from Mario Party 3, uses a similar concept to that of this one.
Introduction
A Bowser bomb is screwed into place by a mechanical arm and the camera zooms out. The four characters enter the room it's in and get in line (with the exception of the first player up to press a plunger) while the plungers appear. The minigame then begins.
Gameplay
The game is a luck-based minigame. The players take turns pressing down the plungers connected to a massive Bowser Bomb.
Once a player pressed a plunger, the game decides whether they are safe or not. If steam comes out of the bomb's "nostrils", then the player is safe and will move to the end of the line. However, if the wrong switch is pressed, then the eyes will count down from three, which eliminates the player when it explodes. The process repeats until there is only one player left, which is declared as the winner. There are five plungers in different colors: red, pink, yellow, green, and white. Each time a player is eliminated, the number of switches will decrease by one until there are only three left. If everyone pulls down a plunger that won't set off the bomb, then a new set of plungers will appear.
In Mario Party: The Top 100, the explosion of the bomb is more detailed. The design of the Bowser Bomb is also designed after the one from Bowser's Bigger Blast. Also, the characters breathe a sigh of relief if the bomb doesn't explode or cover their ears if it does.
