"Staff Credits,"[1] also known as "Victory Lap"[2][3] and "Staff Roll,"[4] is a theme composed for Mario Kart 64, where it (as the name implies) plays during the staff credits.
The theme features a four-note piano pattern throughout its entirety that has been arranged extensively in Mario Kart 7 and subsequent games. "Super Mario Kart Title Screen" and "Rainbow Road" are also quoted several times throughout the song.

In Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, the theme that plays during the staff credits incorporates an arrangement of "Staff Credits" in the first section.

Mario Kart 7Edit

Mario Kart 7 features several arrangements of "Staff Credits."
The theme that plays in the single-player menu, titled "Selection Screen" in the Nintendo Music app, is a fast-paced, synth pluck arrangement of "Staff Credits." When choosing the game mode, the original rhythm is retained, but when choosing a character, the motif is played on every eighth note.
The theme that played in the Local Multiplayer menu, titled "Selection Screen (Wireless)" in the Nintendo Music app, is similar to "Selection Screen," but only retains the synth pluck, backing chords and hi-hat.
The first three notes of the theme that played when spectating players online, titled "Spectating" in the Nintendo Music app, are a brief arrangement of "Staff Credits."
The theme that plays in Rock Rock Mountain, titled "Rock Rock Mountain" in the Nintendo Music app, incorporates an arrangement of "Staff Credits" in the last section.
The theme that plays in Rainbow Road, titled "Rainbow Road" in the Nintendo Music app, also incorporates an arrangement of "Staff Credits" in the last section.
A looping drum set beat is layered on top of "Rock Rock Mountain"'s and "Rainbow Road"'s instrumentation whenever the player is driving at top speed while in first place.

The theme that plays during the cutscene reviewing the races and players' placements after each Grand Prix, titled "Current Standings" in the Nintendo Music app, incorporates an arrangement of "Staff Credits."
A similar arrangement is incorporated into the theme that plays in the final results screen when placing first, second or third, titled "Trophy Theme A" in the Nintendo Music app.
The theme that plays in the same screen when tying or placing fourth or below, titled "Trophy Theme B" in the Nintendo Music app, incorporates an arrangement of "Staff Credits" throughout most of the theme. The theme is twenty bars long, divided into five sections; the motif is played in the first four, with some transposition on the second and fourth.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe features several appearances of "Staff Credits."
All three of Mario Kart 8's arrangements return for the same purpose.
As part of Wave 3 of the Booster Course Pass, Rock Rock Mountain returns as a classic course, and with it a remastered version of "Rock Rock Mountain." Much like in Mario Kart 7, an additional, looping drum set beat is layered on top of the instrumentation whenever the player is driving at top speed while in first place.
In the Music menu, switching between the base game, Battle, and Booster Course Pass courses plays the first three notes of "Staff Credits"'s four-note pattern.

Mario Kart World features three arrangements of "Staff Credits."
Much like in Mario Kart 8, an arrangement of "Staff Credits" is incorporated into the theme that plays during the awards ceremony after each Grand Prix.
The cutscene that plays before unlocking the Special Cup incorporates a loose arrangement of "Staff Credits."
The Special Cup variation of the awards ceremony theme retains the arrangement of "Staff Credits."
