Kremlings[edit]

Assuming the Donkey Kong franchise takes place in Mario's world, it would be interesting to discuss Kremlings in relation to Koopas, since they're both reptiles. For instance, what influenced cuteness as an evolutionary trait in Koopas that the Kremlings didn't need to take into account? Of course, this would be more of an in-universe take; obviously there are conscious design choices behind each of these fictional groups, as Koopas wouldn't fit in the world of Donkey Kong Country or vice-versa. -- KOOPA CON CARNE 14:45, August 27, 2020 (EDT)

As you noted in the end, the designs principles don’t match, the Kremlings and the Koopas follow radically different styles. As such, these can’t really be discussed in-universe but are the reflection of how different is the view of the UK-based Rare designers such as Kevin Bayliss, Gregg and Steve Mayles versus the view of the Japanese designers such as Shigeru Miyamoto, Yoichi Kotabe and Takashi Tezuka. Even friendly characters like Winky had this very different cartoony look, in which most of the cute features I mentioned can’t be found. While of course the two looks really clash when seen one alongside the other, I personally like that they didn’t try to force the Japanese look on the Kremlings, consistent world building was never the forte of the Mario universe in any case, which actually allowed us to have the Ruined Dragon in the same world of Draggadon.—Mister Wu (talk) 16:14, August 27, 2020 (EDT)

Moved images[edit]

Hi, I passed through this page and noticed that 3 images from here don't load correctly, which are in these three sections. The images are these three ones which, as you can see, does not exist. Seeing the page of each one, we can see that they were moved.
I was going to make the corrections myself, but apparently the page is protected and I can't touch it, so I'm notifying you in case that you or anyone else wants to correct that.
By the way, nice article. -Kirbeat (talk) 17:36, November 5, 2021 (EDT)
