Can you answer my question? Why has my userbox tower been deleted twice? No one even warned me ahead of time or anything, and I don't know what I did wrong. I want to make a separate, cleaner section for it that doesn't squish any text, but I'm too scared to even do that. MelissaMarioSister

When I put up my userbox, it squished the text on my userpage to the left side of the screen. Maybe it's my screen resolution (it's only 800x600), but I don't know. I seriously want to know what I did wrong. :( MelissaMarioSister

Okay, I'm going to post an example userbox because I completely lost my real list. I also just noticed that a section I had written on the lyrics of one song from one of the Mario cartoons had been deleted as well. Here goes... MelissaMarioSister

OK, here's something awesome: I've got a Level 2 Bidoof! WOWZA!

What I meant to say was...I've been brave enough to EV train my Adamant natured Arceus to Level 100 - It's learned JUDGMENT! It PWNS! You know how it changes to any type to match Arceus' type? Fully sick! It looks average, though.

Oh, and I feel sorry for you not finding any Shinies yet. So, here's my special guide- just for YOU!

OK, stock up on at least 100 Super Repels, as they're the best value for money. If you want easy money, get a Meowth to level 30 to learn Pay Day, cancel its' level 28 evolution with the B button. Also give it an Amulet Coin to hold.

Back on topic, here's how I got my first shiny: My lead party member was a Muk, level 38, as it has the Stench ability. I had Repels on at all times...and went to the large upper-right patch on Route 201. Had the Poke Radar registered. Had Poketch on the app that shows your Radar chains. Always choose same type of patch as first one you want to. Go for a Starly shiny, as Bidoof sucks. When you find one, PWN it or catch it, then CONCENTRATE on the top screen. Ignore that loser distracting you or whatever.

Conditions: Next patch must be same type, as in normal shaking or flashing. Must be furthest out of 4 patches. If not all of these conditions are matched, walk carefully 50 steps not into a patch that shook, to recharge teh radar. It took me at least 1.5 hours, and my chain was up to 34 Starlys when I saw that special sparkling patch. It stands out, trust me. You should aim for a 40 chain, then keep resetting.

Whoa, I might have scared you with that! Anyway, by that I mean -

don't train any of your Event Pokemon until you've read this. I mean, don't even tae them into battle at all.

I'll come back to that, but first: CONGOATULATIONS on getting your AR to work, I had 2 weeks of disappointment and frustration until I went to my Pokefriend's house and we worked together to get all the events to work.

So, you must be luckier than me to work it.

Now, I assume you've used the Shaymin event code which gets Oak's Letter. Getting Darkrai is simple: Once the code is activated, get the item Membership Card from a Poke Mart, then go to Canalave City. In the top-right corner, there's that locked hotel, but it'll open if you've got the Card. Then the event happens, you end up on Newmoon Island, and fight Darkrat at Level 40 (easy). If your already knew all this, then I assume your problem might be that you got the wrong code. On my ARDS, when I downloaded the most recent PKMN Pearl codelist, none of the 4 events where there to activate, I had to Add New codes. Make sure you find a reliable online source to copy the code from, and double-check it's exactly right. If you still have problems, I'm here to (attempt to) help.

Oh, and what are you waiting for with Arceus - he's much better than Shaymin! You should use a Master Ball, because his moveset, power and highest level make him the hardest to catch.

Now, why not to train your Event Pokemon yet? Well, every Effort Point counts. I assume you know the awesome website Serebii.net...it's got lists of which Pokemon give which EVs, and best places to train. If you don't want to waste your lifetime, get those Power items from the Battle Tower Point Exchange place for 16BP each (well worth it). In fact, the Nature of your Poke is super-important as well. My Official Pokedex Guidebook (450 pages, A4 size!) has a table showing the effects of each Nature.

Here are the 4 event codes, if they don't work, then... that's not good. As you might notice, the only difference between all of them is the last digit/letter of the 5th line, so to save time, ADD New Code, then start with any of them, save it and start your game. Do the L+R stuff as you enter a Poke Mart, then get the item from the green guy. Save your game, turn off and go back to your AR code selection. Find that same code, and modify it by just changing the appropriate digit/letter. Be careful not to change anything else, unless the first one didn't work. That's what I did.

As for Master Balls, you're not alone, I also used it on Palkia, but with good reason... I'd only survived the battle with Galactic Boss Cyrus with my LAST Pokemon on 1 HP. Yes, it was that close.

The code was already on my PKMN Pearl codelist, so I just selected it.

If you still have problems, I need to know this: When you insert the game, does the ARDS screen say 'Unknown Game' or 'Pokemon Pearl'? If you tell me that, I'll know what's wrong.

So, you're lucky. If any of those Event Codes don't work, please let me know, because I don't want you to suffer.

Oh, and do you have the Pokerus at all? I found I had it very early in the game, still going through Gym Leader battles. Is it rare than Shiny Pokemon?

So, most of my Pokemon are infected now, which is good.

But I logged in mainly just to reply to you right now. So, about Manaphy...um, it's the same length as all the other 3 event codes...so I dunno what you mean. You know that a new line appears when you keep typing after the screen appears to be full of digits/letters? All 4 codes will go over the first set of lines. I'm sorry if I'm not much help here, but I don't really know exactly what problem you're having.
