File reminders[edit]
|
Hello, Dodo. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the {{aboutfile}} template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded syntax is shown below. {{aboutfile
|1=Subject of the image
|2=Where you found the image
|3=Artist
|4=Describe edits, if any
|5=Other versions (use file link)
}}
Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line for the parameter(s) you don't use. A description of the image subject (parameter |
Also, please don't add files that don't need to be added (or you end up wanting deleted immediately after making them). This just unnecessarily adds extra data to the wiki database. Normal users can't delete articles themselves. You have to tag it with {{delete}} so an admin can delete it

I'm not planning on uploading anymore, it was just for my user page and the yux picture was a mistake I'll tag to delete it thx — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dodo (talk) at 12:25, October 12, 2026 (UTC).
Mario Kart World character icons[edit]
Thank you for your help, but I think those images are better left uncropped in their original state. These are not isolated pieces of artwork for these characters, they are rectangular sprites of specific dimensions meant to fit within a larger character select screen. Maintaining the empty space around them allows them to be better scaled when viewed together. Most importantly, since those images have drop shadows, cropping them to content can cause the shadows to get left out, or for the image to still have a lot of empty space around it. Given that these solutions aren't optimal, the uploads will be reverted. — Lady Sophie_17

Look closely at the imgs and you'll see that the drop shadows are still there. Also I didn't realize that they were purposely left square, I thought it was artwork so I was just cropping them. But I shall stop --Dodo (talk) 01:32, October 27, 2026 (UTC)
