Regarding foreign names

The original proposal said that this template was not supposed to be used for foreign names. However, since policy has changed and foreign names are now required to be cited, this edge case could probably be revoked. What are other users' thoughts on this? I think having the "name" available could assist in the search through being a starting point, so I think it is worthwhile to use this template for this purpose. Salmancer (talk) 03:24, January 24, 2026 (UTC)
