Is this template needed? This whole "canonity" aspect is ridiculous. Of course, canceled game didn't have an influence on the Mario storyline. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 16:41, 27 November 2007 (EST)

I agree. I'd be fine with having this just to say that the game is canceled, but we don't need to know about elements coming up again and then becoming canon... it's just excessive, and the article can include a section if this is the case for the particular game.
