This is about another weird discovery I made while revisiting this game earlier. Apparently, Mario's animations play differently when walking on the walls in 3D in this stage.
Specifically, his back sprites never display while in this state, regardless of which way he is walking. What's more, by standing in specific areas of the map, you can see the wrong side of his standard model. (To further clarify, the side you normally aren't supposed to see without hacking/ripping the model.)
I would have added this to the Notes section, but I'm not quite sure it truly belongs there. However, I doubt it belongs on the List of Super Paper Mario glitches page either, since it's more of an oversight than a glitch. Any thoughts? Wandering Poplin (talk) 04:33, December 31, 2025 (EST)
