"Living Thermometers"[edit]

For the record, here's the enemy description given by the guide:

いトゲトゲのときにさわるとダメージをうける。

Roughly:

Red spiked thorns whose touch cause damage.

It's barebones, but there's nothing stating or hinting that they are thermometers, nor anything about them filling up with mercury. We can call them thermometer-like at best, but anything further is speculation. LinkTheLefty (talk) 11:35, 14 August 2017 (EDT)

They don't even look like thermometers to me. I think calling them "thermometer-like" gives a false impression of what they are. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 12:07, 14 August 2017 (EDT)
What I see is a hollow rod with a little ball at the end, full of red liquid that moves around inside, because you actually see the red expanding to fill the entire being from the other side. Much like a thermometer. Also note that they're normally calm, but when they start making excited faces, that's when the change occurs, as though their body temperature somehow rose. Honestly, I'm seeing a classic-styled thermometer, and nothing else. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 13:11, 14 August 2017 (CT)
I think there is a resemblance, but I don't believe it was intentional. LinkTheLefty (talk) 21:50, 14 August 2017 (EDT)
