Is the trailing space in the title "New Super Mario Bros. " part of the name of this album? And if so, should this wiki format it the same way? Should this article be moved to "New Super Mario Bros. (Nintendo Music)", with two spaces between the period and the identifier? Is it even mechanically possible to create a redirect for "New Super Mario Bros. " that leads to this article? jan Misali (talk · contributions) 04:16, February 27, 2026 (UTC)

Would you name an article accordingly if a string was stored with a fixed width and padded with whitespace? Would you end article titles with null characters? The internal formatting of a name that is not directly observable by traditional means should surely not be taken as a statement that the standard name for the subject unequivocally includes the formatting. per. "this album is named ____" and "the title of this album is formatted ____ on its only digital release" are two different things. unless we can prove that the title is supposed to have a trailing whitespace, i don't see why we need to consider it semantically significant enough to title the page after it. — eviemaybe Tanooki Mario's tail, cropped (talk) 12:57, February 27, 2026 (UTC)
