Top Spin Section[edit]
The page says that the Top Spin has a higher arch than the Lob, but I've played the game online and from the looks of it, the Top Spin has a more forward arch while the Lob has a higher arch, so why does it say the Top Spin goes higher? Also, why is it called the Top Spin? That name isn't in the manual of the game, but Groundstroke is. Groundstroke's even in the description of some of the characters, so why wasn't the name Groundstroke used? User:Fnw21 Gamer 9/22/2025 2:27 a.m.

~~~~to sign a message.) Having looked at the manual ourselves, we... Also cannot find the name "Top Spin" anywhere. We're... Not sure "Groundstroke" is what the term is meant to be, though, as looking it up, Topspin is an actual Tennis term, and Groundstroke is also an actual Tennis term, which is very different from a Topspin. Seeing as it's past 3AM over here, there's basically no chance we're getting to the bottom of this right now, but we'll at least defer to someone else more familiar with Tennis as an actual sport.

- @Fnw21 Gamer - After a bit of bouncing it back-and-forth with others on the Discord, we've settled on "Solid shot", based on Pg. 8 of the manual. However, this "Basics" section in general is in dire need of a rewrite in general--optimally, it would be a section for controls, and a section for the actual gameplay of the game. We haven't played Mario's Tennis before, so we cannot supply this, but we've sicced a rewrite template on it for the time being. ~Camwoodstock ( talk ☯ contribs ) 14:53, September 22, 2025 (EDT)
