"Kyasarin Pinku" = "Birdo (Pink)" ?[edit]

Here and on the main Birdo page, "Kyasarin Pinku" (and other colors) is listed as meaning "Birdo (Pink)", etc. However, it is obviously the transliteration of "Catherine Pink". Why is there this recurring inconsistency, and is there any reason for it? TJF588 (talk) 00:20, May 2, 2026 (UTC)

This is because "Catherine" is the Japanese name for Birdo, which is already explained in the main name table. To avoid repetition, if a name is derived from another name, the original name is not defined. See Goomba Tower, which does not bother to define "Kuribō", since that is already done in Goomba's page. — eviemaybe Tanooki Mario's tail, cropped (talk) 02:20, May 2, 2026 (UTC)
