Waving hand and crying face greetings[edit]

Prize Block from Super Mario World This talk page or section has a conflict or question that must be answered. Please try to help and resolve the issue by leaving a comment.

The standard set of greetings in Super Mario Bros. Wonder is of a grinning face with smiling eyes, a question mark, a pair of musical notes, and a loudspeaker. However, the game includes a second set of greetings that includes a waving hand and a crying face, labeled as 'world map' emotes. However, being on the world map or in online play does not seem to affect the set of greetings available. Where are these greetings used in the game? Can they only be used in Friend Rooms? Since greetings are customizable in Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park, is the behavior of having two sets of greetings not present in that game? I tested the local GameShare of Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park, and the greetings loaded were the ones that I selected from the Greetings screen. --Illuminoid (talk) 23:49, October 21, 2026 (UTC)
