Not sure if the image chosen is the best for this, I picked it because it had a good view of a whole island. A character icon in Paper Mario: The Origami King -GlobinGoblin- Totem Link costume pose in Super Mario Maker 10:23, August 30, 2024 (EDT)

Concordian humanoid species page?[edit]

The main humanoid inhabitants of Concordia (Connie, Technikki, etc) are clearly meant to be one species. The generic members also have differing designs based on island (though some islands share the same designs, so including this on each individual island page could get confusing). That said, a page for the species going in-depth on their appearances might be better than lumping it into this article, especially given there are other inhabitants and species to be covered here (all the enemies, whatever the Extension Corps are, Snoutlet and Great Conductor, etc). There's just one glaring issue...

This humanoid species is never given a name, at least in English. Now, if anyone is able to find a name for them in any language, we can just make the article with no issues. But considering there likely isn't one, what would we do for a conjectural name? "Concordian" is too general and all species would be considered as such, given they live in Concordia. "Concordian humanoid" is more specific, but aren't the Extension Corps also humanoid despite definitely not being a part of this species?

I'm also worried about this possibly being another Flip-Flop Folk situation...though at least I think it's a lot more intentional that this is meant to be one species than whatever is going on with Flipside, Flopside, and what else. Just covering all my bases here.

So... What are your thoughts? Should we bother making a page for the Concordian humanoids, or keep all that info here (which may get very in-depth given how much the generic design varies based on island and gender and age, my dream page would have each variation pictured with location)? If we decide to make a page, what conjectural name should we use, assuming we never find an official name? Technetium (talk) 13:24, May 4, 2025 (EDT)
