The Seattle no Tsubo is a precious vase exposed in Peach's Castle, valued at 10 million yen. It appears in Super Mario Kart 1 of the Super Mario as the plot device of the main story arc.
While doing some plumbing repairs in the flooded Castle, Mario makes a pipe burst into the air, landing right on top of a basic-looking vase standing on a pedestal that reads "Seattle Vase". Unable to pay it, Mario decides to enroll in the kart race, which its money prize is the right amount he needs. Mario manages to win the BomBom Cup, but in repaying the debt of Lady's mechanical work and items, Donkey Kong Jr.'s medical bill, and the race association for the damages to the track, Mario is back to be penniless. The Mushroom King arrives and asks him why he abandoned his work to play go-kart. Mario mumbles something about the vase, confused the king goes to check: it is then revealed that the actual Seattle vase is inconveniently located inside the pedestal, hidden behind the name tag, the vase that was squashed was a normal vase. To this, Mario sighs in relief.
